Shitfood Mongoland took place at Urban Spree to create a unheard of space for skateboarding and its community. After a pretty chaotic start without wood nor pallets, the area at Urban Spree slowly began to form a unique atmosphere through the collaboration of hard-working skate enthusiasts.

….we installed a copy machine automat where visitors could copyprint their butts

Within 2 days the skatearea outside was built and the small corridors inside got crowded with all crews to setup their special booth. The vibe was being part of a family where hands help each other.
Our plan was to make a straight forward happening for SFML: Buttshots was an invitation to be part of a design process for our new board graphic series. We installed a copy machine automat where visitors could copyprint their butts. We were excited. Would it work? Would even one single person try it? The visitors didn’t disappoint us. The enthusiams and results of people’s participation were outstanding.
It went down all smooth with a fresh layer of sacrotan. After the first day we already had enough buttshots to fill our gallery wall and produce some shirts of the best results. Most shirts got out of hand right away. After exhibiting the first outcome, people got even more stoked on the idea or eventually sneaked around or booth before we could get their butts.
In the end basically everyone brought out their very own example into a unique groupwork which will create the new boardgraphics. Stay tuned.
